Tobin's first triathalon

Ann-Marie entered the local women's triathalon here today, on a last minute whim. She was in the mom and baby category (along with Mandy and her girls) where you ride and run with the babe (in a stroller, trailer, cart, wheelbarrow, etc.). She won in her category! She was cranking out the run and was close to the top ten after that, but riding a squishy mountain bike wasn't so conducive to holding her place. Tobin spent his first triathalon much like his first day climbing and first day skiing, sleeping. Also a phot of Ann-Marie getting in on the 1st ascent of Harry's route at Begbie bluffs, and a few of John and Erin (the new homeowners!) playing auntie and uncle. Sorry, some lousy photo quality on these ones...

Road Trippin'!

Just got back from Smith Rock, Oregon where we spent the past week climbing and camping in the cold! It was a really great time though, even if it was a little cold. Tobin was a star on the 12hr drive and the camping at zero degrees at night. He seemed to make lots of new friends (everyone at the crag was an admirer...). We met up with a Canadian girl that made everything run super smoothly for us as a party of three, it seemed to work out all around!

spring activities

We finally had a bluebird day that was hotter than blazes. I went for a ski that I was jonesing to do, and Ann-Marie went on a endurance multi-sport day. Only one pic of her when I saw her on our way home. And yes, I asked if I could take her and Tobin home, but she insisted on riding her bike!
Troy and I skied up Mackenzie, around the head of Greeley Creek and climbed almost to the top of Cartier, where we looked down a 6500' run to valley bottom. Long tiring day, but great!

Not a baby picture

I was getting a little self concious of all the baby photos, so here's one of a handsome couloir

Snoozenhauer

Tobin, snoozing in his snuggly little suitcase.
Yesterday was mom's first day out without Tobin. Ann-Marie pumped milk and handed me the bottle and darted out the door for a day of ski touring in the park. It was a little intimidating for me at first but we just chillax'd downtown with all the other moms.
