Back home and more visting
We arrived back home on Dec 28 and had a day to settle in before our week of guests arrived. I think there were 13 people that circulated through the house between then and now. Busy place, but lots of fun as usual. Unfortunately I was sick for most of it and then two days ago, Deb, Pete , Ann-Marie and me got the 24 hour flu, barfing out both ends. Somehow we managed to stay well humoured about the whole thing with everyone reporting on their bathroom success or failures. Ann-Marie managed to keep her dignity the most intact, while I didn't. I think sometimes I'm channelling Satan when I vomit.
We skied the hill most of the time the last week and it was so, so good!!! It's amazing to wake up one day and have this huge ski hill in the back yard. Got dad out for the first time in five years too so that was great fun, he did great and was skiing full speed right off the bat. Made me a little nervous though.

Happy New Year! Simmer down now.

Christmas in Boston
We spent 10 days in Boston over Christmas at Bevil and Alex's house with almost all of Ann-Marie's side of the family. Bevil and Alex were the consumate hosts, tolerating children and inlaws taking over their space. We had a great time, walking around Boston, buying turkey from "Live Poultry Fresh Killed" - no kidding that's the name of the store, I think they need a marketing director.
It seems travelling with babies really makes things run smoothly! People were amazingly helpful and friendly everywhere, especially Boston.
