Moving...

I don't suggest it.

In case anyone is wondering why we haven't returned phone calls or emails... We sold the house a week and a half ago, had a house we were going to buy, but upon inspection we decided it was too much work to take on. Thus, we're now homeless and have two weeks to pack up, move out and find somewhere to live!

No nervous breakdowns yet, but I'm sure we're going down that path.

Happy Birthday to Nick!

Nick turned two on the 14th. We kept it pretty low key as mom is away this week so we're all a bit sad about that. Saturday or Sunday will be party day as we'll all be together again!
Here are a couple of pictures of him with his Lego-man headlamp. He was SO jazzed about this when he opened it. Even going to bed he wanted to wear it and was lying there in the dark lighting up the bunk bed... eventually he let me turn it off and take it off, but he wanted to have it on his pillow beside him. Tonight he wanted it tucked in under a sock on his side table.

light, light shining bright

*that's a pancake, not a giant piece of ham on his plate. However, with mom being away this week we did eat a lot of brown food.

Tequila, the miracle drug

Before tequila...

after tequila***...

Ann-Marie is in Prince George this week at school so I'm pulling double duty with the dudes. On top of some single parenting, I'm trying to close a deal on our house, and close a deal on another house we want to buy, mortgages, house inspections, negotiations... It's the craziest week of my life!!

***I should clarify that it was I who consumed the tequila, not them.

Scenery

North face of Bonney, Ann-Marie did a traverse last weekend that goes behind this beauty.

Swanzy and Bonney and Parsons in the distance. She skied off the shoulder of Parsons on the traverse. At the bottom of this photo you can see the army of skiers about to pound the track we just put in to the Dome. Count them. There's 14.

Swanzy and another tiny group of skiers. What a beauty, many ambitious ski lines off here. The beginning of the Bonney traverse ascends the south slopes of this peak.
