Walking!!!

Tobin just took his first steps tonight before bed. He just stood up and sauntered over to Ann-Marie, about three or four steps, but he seemed pretty at ease with the whole idea. Let the games begin...

ski photos

Some random ski photos from the other day.

Troy practicing his golf swing. Actually we were trying to knock off that huge cornice - with 10lb rocks... More just an excuse to trundle.

Guess who turns one tomorrow????

The little nude dude!

Margaritaville

Finally an update! We just walked in the door from Mexico. Kind of a quick trip, we decided last friday, booked the tickets Sunday morning and flew out of Vancouver at 8:00 Tuesday morning! It was pretty nice down there, boozing it up on the beach, eating fruit (in Tobin's case, eating sand and cigarette butts...).
We flew into Manzanillo and we were picked up by Jim and Margo who then took us back to the campground they've spent the past five weeks at. It made it a REAL treat to be dropped off in Vancouver by Grampa Conway and picked up at the other end and ferried straight to the beach!!!! The Coke's treated us like royalty and so did the rest of the campground denizens; retirees, largely from BC strangely enough.
It was a little like an all inclusive in that we arrived with our tent and bedding and then everyone else around us started arriving bearing gifts, like the two dozen wise men. By the end of the trip I thought we might end up with a satellite TV. We were lent shade tents, collapsible tables, mats, pots and pans, a stove, tarps etc etc. When we attempted to erect the shade tent, without success, suddenly there were about 10 people on our site helping us figure it out. It was a little like a revolution of 'handiness' bubbling beneath the surface and waiting for an opportunity to erupt into full fledged helpfulness. Very kind. Anyway, enough jabber. Here are some pics.

Tobin really took to the papaya and mangoes, when he wasn't trying to eat charcoal, cigarette butts and sand....

The crocodile is about 12' long, but we're standing about 15' away, safely behind that flagging tape.

Tobin was constantly covered in fruit juices and sand, he was lucky he wasn't carted away by crabs or ants.

I'm not sure why the fellow who took this photo deemed the sky more important than our lower extremities, but there you go... Jim and Margo, and us on the beach.
