The boys were completely wasted and hysterical at the end of it. Tobin ended the night weeping in bed that Santa wasn't coming and that what he really wanted was a remote control car and not an ipod but that he asked for an ipod and Christmas was probably going to be ruined.
Luckily Santa is an all-knowing and benevolent deity (plus there's no goddamned way I'm going to buy an ipod for a five year old...)
books instead
lotta excitement in the AM!
the new remote control cars were immediately put to use as four-wheeled wrecking-balls of gingerbread deliciousness.
then we shot down to Kelowna to spend the rest of the day at Grampa Allan's with C and K plus the boys from Salmon Arm. It was more raving, chocolate fuelled hysteria.
The boys were awed by magic!!
Nick's is kitted out as the magician's assitant, replete with wand and my grandfather's fedora
Coen: "what the dag? It was a plastic egg a minute ago!"
Tobin: "oh great, now dad's going to make us clean this up..."
Nick: "gguuuuuuuhhhhhhh sooooo tirrrreeeeddddd"
Tobin: "oh great, now dad's going to make us clean this up..."
Nick: "gguuuuuuuhhhhhhh sooooo tirrrreeeeddddd"
did I mention the raving chocolate fuelled hysteria?*
*I was actually turning the treadmill down in the video, not up. Up was their doing. For real.

You're back! Thanks so much for the up date and so sad that we never get to experience the Christmas hysteria first hand!
Loved the tread mill video...amazing they still have all of their teeth!
Big hugs,
Nana
Lovely to see them having such fun together. What a fabulous gingerbread house. Impressed. Very
love you gran/jen/mum
HAHAHAHAHA! Most hilarious Christmas blog post ever. I like how your "grumpy old man" persona really shines through! ;)
Nick is such a little imp. So much future girlfriend / wedding embarrassment material!
Incidentally, I am still using the ipod that AMG gave me when she got her computer. It never fails to elicit amusement when others see my old school music machine.
