Ski touring at -20 requires down and tea
ahhh, into the sun!
Looking over at a piece of the magnificent Ross
Summit of Afton, we had to cross a narrow catwalk to reach the top of the line we skied. Intimidating, but we belayed our way across. Sir Donald in the background.
Through the difficulties and looking at sweet steep powder right to the bottom!!!
Travis getting amongst it!
The fellas below our line, the central couloir that comes off the summit.

Effectively tortured and academically battered over here. Thanks.
It was especially helpful that you AND Curmudgeonly Bumbly both had new posts this morning entitled "More skiing". Did you guys call each other to arrange mutual torturing? I hope all your toes freeze off in the cold snap.
Still mountain biking season over here - above zero and sunny.
Sorry. That was petty. It stems from a repressed desire to better myself academically.
Hissssss.
Skiing in -20 eh? You think that's cold? Well let me tell you, in our parts of the great white Yukon Territory we ski in ... well, ... um ... actually we seem to ski in sunny, -5 degree weather with almost no wind every day. But we have wolves! Hungry wolves everywhere... I haven't seen them yet, but I know they're out there...
Pete
Darn...it all looks so beautiful and COLD but we are quite happy basking in the NZ heat and getting our jollies seeing all that snow in B.C!
Love, us
